pushed the Empire almost all the way back to their base. But trouble came for the Rebels when an Empire tank strolled through and took out most of their team, giving the Empire chance to take back parts of the Speedball field. By the end of the game, Empire had 540 points. 100 of those points were from attaining pieces of a prop called a Holocron. The Rebels were behind with only 515 points. But there was still time to earn points in the Final Battle. For those that may not be familiar with Viper events, they are known for their epic final battles. Hundreds of pla yers on a small field dumping paint in hopes to get a few extra points. Not to mention the slapsticks! To give you kind of a visual, it is like raining paintballs everywhere. Well this one was epic. The referees are phenomenal and deserve props for being a paintball punching bag. At the end of a crazy and what seemed endless final battle, The Rebels had 100 points, and Empire acquired 0. It was a crazy fun battle though, and everyone left with plenty of battle wounds to tell the tale. After final battle, it was time. Time to shave the legend Kerry Viper. The total player count ended up being 1,114, making this the largest scenario paintball event in Texas. It was one for the books! Now it was time for awards, giveaways, and final scores. There were lots of prizes to give away and awards to players and teams that gave it their all. The final scores were Empire 1645 and Rebels with 1780. This was one game that no one will forget. The gameplay was fantastic, the players were fantastic, and the referees were awesome as always. The head shaving was probably one of the highlights of the awards ceremony. They auctioned off the first line of hair shaved for $300. So the weekend ended with lots of fun memories, and a bald Viper. But ultimately it was worth it. I cannot wait for the next Viper event; stay tuned for more at www.paintball.media www.paintball.media 087
