underway. Possibly the most pomp and circumstance I’ve personally seen in our game with flag bearers, speeches from Malaysian royalty and a March Pass by local military. by host Amber Wong, who did an amazing job. Flags, music playing, political dignitaries, VIPs, national paintball teams… it was quite the scene. The opening ceremony featured all of the Nations Cup teams lining up and marching to designated spots in the large room. Each of the national teams carried their country’s flag and when the march was complete, it left them standing in front of the stage, which was chock full of VIPs. As the team marched in they were announced To my surprise, arriving at 8am for the scheduled start of play Friday, games were already underway and Malaysian time was out the window. The Australian teams had a mixed bag on day one with STK again proving their strength, Perth Crisis were impressive whilst HK Reaper Crew probably didn’t have the day one they were anticipating. 030 paintball.media magazine
