GERMANS SECURING THE BOMB By Doug Sholander - Mayhem Company Commander Key - CDR = Commander, LCDR = Lieutenant Commander I was tasked with this mission at 1715 on Saturday by German 3rd XO Joe “Guice” Girardi. He and 1st XO Mike Conklin “RTM Mike” decoded a secret message from the French, through leaflets, artwork, and other clues scattered throughout the field, and 044 paintball.media magazine sometimes even handed to us by the French themselves. The mission was to meet the French between Dubs’ Bridge (German General) and Frack’s Bridge (Allied General) in order to secure a bomb. The bomb was then to be used to blow up the opposing General’s bridge. The bomb had a 10 minute timer, so once the bomb was placed, it had to be held for 10 minutes in order to “explode.” The bomb was “dropped” by the French at 1900. There was another objective at 1830 at Dubs’ bridge, so the plan was to arrive at 1800 and hold the area for the entire duration.
