One of the oldest paintball fields in the world, Splatterpark north of Columbus Ohio was originally named Field of Fun back in 1983. They are one of Tippmann’s first fields as they are their #11th customer! In 1999 the field changed names to Splatterpark and they started their Big games which are held on the 1st Sunday of May and 1st Sunday of October (Oct 1st 2017 is the next big game) battle started with each team on opposite sides of the field, and as soon as they started, players were running to meet in the middle! As the game progresses objectives are released (each player has a badge with the objectives printed out with the times they release around their necks). These badges also show which team they are on, as well as a punch location for the Tippmann lunch which includes a hotdog, chips and a water! The cost for this event is very reasonable at $59 which includes entry to the scenario, a case of 2,000 paintballs, air fills, and the Tippmann lunch! They also rent equipment for players that don’t have their own at an additional charge. These games are scenario games where they open the entire field (12 maps) for the games, and players from all over Ohio and surrounding states come to play with their friends. I played for the blue team this spring and used the new Tippmann TMC. Since the marker was brand new I only had 4 mags for it, so I did a lot of reloading while playing The blue team managed to push the orange against the 1,000 + players in attendance! team across the field gaining a large swath of land at the beginning of the game, which in First Strike Divide and Conquer was the many scenarios ends up being lopsided. name of the Spring game this year, and the www.paintball.media 227
