My name is Tori Michelle Carter. I am a model, and artist. I constantly notice people thinking they are inadequate based on the media image portrayed; I try to encourage them to be unique and recognize their beauty. I realize that I must lead by example, and with this in mind, I became a model. I know very well that I am no Barbie, and I do not try to pretend to be one. I love when people show their own style and express themselves. I love to express myself artistically in any way possible. I see my modelling as another form of art that I have become very passionate about.
I have been a model for 2 years. My first modelling job came from a photographer trying to add different styles to her portfolio. Claire Reid Photography was specializing in Faerie and Fantasy work, and trying to show her clients that her capabilities are way beyond just that style. She asked me to do a “Street grunge” shoot and I was more than happy to model for her. Since then I have realized that modelling is so much more to me than meets the eye. I continued modelling maternity shoots through my pregnancy and now I also include family shots in my portfolio. In 5 years from now, I would like to see my modelling take me to a well-known agency that focuses on Alternative models with tattoos. I would like to be covered in tattoos and get paid good money for my work.
My hobbies and interests are also all artistic. I write lyrics to songs when I want to exert my emotions, and I am a well known artist. I have done everything from murals, to printmaking, T-shirts, sculptures and everything in between. I started out as an artist, doing drawings for others at a very young age. I started writing songs at 8 years old, and learned quickly that I love expressing myself through any form of art available.
