The Pageant Exodus Series

he journey of writing for the Pageant Platform
Magazine has been such a joy and provided an
opportunity for me to share my passion for the
industry. As a former leadership transitions coach for
women, I was happy to contribute The Pageant Exodus
series to add value to those who are planning to make their
exit from pageantry soon.
The primary objective of this series was to help prepare
pageant contestants for life and careers after the platform.
Realizing that the future starts in the now and so does their
exit plan. I strongly believe in the power of the present
moment and there's no better time than the present for
contestants to begin focusing on what life could and/or will
be like after the pageant industry.
The Pageant Exodus series helps contestants begin their
transitions process by exploring their next levels of
passions, purpose and what the possibilities could be for
new career endeavors after competing.
The series began with the first article Painting Your Next
Canvas where I shared about viewing yourself as the
painter of your experience with the power to design a new
life on canvas for what's next after pageantry. The second
article was on Cherishing the Journey which emphasized
the importance of creating a balance to honor both the
NOW & NEXT phase of the journey as you start to prepare
and exit the pageant arena.
The third article was entitled Writing Your Next Chapter
where I reminded contestants that they are the authors of
their journey and have the creative ability to write a new
story for their next levels of lifestyle, career and more.
The final article of the series was Exiting to the Next Stage
which provided empowerment to start dreaming your life
anew and stepping into the role as director of your new
adventure for exiting from the pageant stage into a new

My next phase for serving this industry will be focusing on
the overall pageant journey experience. As a result, I
launched a promotional ambassador division for the
Pageant Platform Magazine called The Pageant Journey
and created a journal planner with the same name.
The pageant journey is such a beautiful experience that
each contestant will continue to reap the benefits
throughout their life.
There's so much richness that's gained from being a
part of the pageant arena that prepares the way for
achieving great success in all areas of livelihood. I look
forward to sharing more about this incredible
experience and the evolution of one's journey in the
next article series.

Alicia Nicole "WATERS" is the President of WOW! She
Does It All Media and a published author of over 150 books
for a variety of industries. As a youth, Alicia had the
opportunity to compete and placed as first and second
runners-up in several Ms. 4-H pageants. After years of
competing she later helped to prepare other 4-H pageant
contestants with stage presence, talent mentoring, speeches,
and record book portfolio development and has judge
competitions.
She also has a background in modeling, acting and
performing arts and still utilizes those talents in unique
