Pageantry 101
For Beginners to Seasoned Professionals

bsolute must haves when traveling to compete
near or far!
1. All paperwork, bio, platform sheet, headshots,
music and itinerary for the big day.
2. Hairspray- has a large range of uses and
benefits! It can be used for the obvious also to
reduce static cling and set makeup.
3. Baby wipes- for the just in case quick fix for
makeup mistakes and to remove body tape glue.
4. Double sided tape- for perfect wardrobe
placement and security from gown to swimsuit you
should always be secure.
5. Shoes- make sure to always bring them
all...nude, clear, black and a metallic are the usual
necessities to cover your check list and outfits.
6. Makeup- even if you booked a phenomenal
makeup artist remember to have touch makeup
and brushes on standby for the unforeseen future.
7. Deodorant Sponge- the last thing you want is
white smears all over an outfit. This handy tool will
save your wardrobe and peace of mind.
8. The Extras we all ask to borrow at a pageant:
Bobby-pins, liquid bandage, aspirin, hair tie, safety
pins and pens.
9. Snacks- at every pageant you run into the mid
day pageant-hangry...meaning I’m doing a
pageant and I need food now! So bring healthy
snacks and water to fuel your body.
10. Back Up Wardrobe-bring extra everything
especially if you are traveling out of state.
Rehearsal, arrival, group activity events and all
areas of competition.
