The management of the critical aspects and of the potentialities
of the Sacco Valley area is the base from which the Masterplan

Thanks to the Fondamenti
workshop, promoted by
Kambo Foundation, LAND
Group, coordinated by Andreas
Kipar, had the chance to be
involved in the enhancement
of Valle del Sacco. During this
workshop, the work group
aimed at creating a solid
network between the different
actors of Frosinone area in
order to develop the whole
region. The idea is to create
not one simple project, but
a complex masterplan that
aspires to be the first step for
a sustainable development
in the next decade. It will
be the opportunity to set a

new productive cycle, based
on Green Economy, where
sustainable energy, cultural
tourism and natural resources
represent the ingredients of an
innovative landscape: the Bio
Energy Lanscape. To reach this
aim a systematic view and an
overall plan are required.
The main strengths of this
proposal are:
- the prominent position of
the stakeholder;
- the network: the driving
force for each single project
in the masterplan area;
- research of new developing
models able to get this area
out of the economic crisis
- national and international
attractiveness of the
masterplan that could
attract new investments,
thanks to advertisement and
more visibility;
- the enforcement and
coordination of the
masterplan by the involved
stakeholders, both private
and public.
This masterplan aims to take
Frosinone and Valle del Sacco
beyond the limits. Based on
analysis and critical situations,
the area is divided in to
10 cells that represent the
smallest units in which the
shakeholders could enforce
smaller projects though
reaching the required level
of connection. Therefore
Valle del Sacco becomes a
big workshop where to go
through innovative strategies
of development, thanks to the
creation of a flexible model
that could be replicated in
the whole F
