L’attività sismica e la forte subsidenza hanno influenzato in modo
significativo l’evoluzione del reticolo fluviale e l’insediamento
antropico della regione. La distribuzione dei sedimenti fluviali influenza
fortemente la risposta sismica locale, come ad esempio evidenziato
dai fenomeni di liquefazione. Se da un lato le sollecitazioni sismiche
hanno reso comune l’adozione di catene nell’architettura storica,
dall’altro le scadenti proprietà geotecniche hanno portato ad edifici
leggeri e molto deformabili. Il restauro post-sismico deve perciò
fondarsi su un approccio che integri le componenti geologiche,
ingegneristiche ed architettoniche
The seismic activity and the differential subsidence largely affected
the hydrographic drainage evolution and the anthropic development of the region.
The sediment body distribution strongly modulates the local response to seismic
acceleration, for instance by supporting the liquefaction of sands. The earthquake
activity induced the common use of tied rods in buildings in historic buildings,
whereas the poor geotechnical properties induced light-load, highly deformable
architecture structures. Appropriate post-seismic restoration and danger reduction
practice need to be rooted into an approach integrating geology, engineering
and architecture work
