SEASON REVIEW Red Bull Racing: Still standing It has been a very difficult season for Red Bull Racing. The team that won all four titles between 2010 and 2013 lost the most from the 2014 regulation changes. The problems at RBR started during pre-season testing, when the reigning champions managed to cover only one third of the distance covered by Mercedes. The Renault power unit issues started in pre-season testing and continued well into the season. The lack of pace in comparison with Mercedes resulted also in the RBR design 56 team taking unnecessary risks that led to disqualifications. Yet, despite all the issues, Daniel Ricciardo blossomed. The young Australian managed to win three times in a season in which Mercedes should have completed a clean sweep. Ricciardo’s wins are even more thepaddockmagazine.com
