Bhramari pranayama

or "Bumble Bee Breath" is a gentle, straightforward breathing technique that can be learned and cultivated by any age or level of practitioner, including pregnant women. It is a great preparation for meditation and the lengthening exhalation relative to the inhale reduces anxiety while maintaining a healthy level of carbon dixide in the blood. Besides anxiety, bhramari is claimed to be useful for relieving headaches, insomnia and improving concentration and memory.
