Get fit as a fiddle
As soon as their wedding date is finalised, many
couples swear they will lose loads of weight to
fit into their dream outfit. They then embark on
an unrealistic exercise regime that leaves them
dispirited and often injured in a matter of days
or weeks.
Finally, if you have a friend who wants to get
trimmer, why not join forces and exercise
together? It is much more fun and inspiring than
setting off to a multigym on your own for
a workout.
It’s great to want to get fit for your wedding but
try to keep a sense of perspective about this.
Set yourself realistic goals and fit exercise in
whenever possible, e.g. getting off the bus a few
stops early and walking the rest of the way or
taking the stairs instead of the lift. Local gyms
often offer special packages, so keep an eye out
for membership deals.
