teve Davison is currently
undertaking a full
update of his Cicerone
guidebook – Walking in the
New Forest – which will be
published in a few months
time. Another of his updated
guidebooks – Walking in the
Chilterns – was published by
Cicerone last autumn.
Following his move to the
South-West, Steve is now
spending more time
exploring the counties
of Dorset, Somerset,
Devon and Cornwall,
including Exmoor

and Dartmoor and several
areas of outstanding natural
beauty.
Trips in 2018 included
Florence (Italy) and the
Basque region of Spain,
especially Bilbao and San
Sebastian; planned trips for
2019 include Orkney and
Bergerac in France.

and Avon Canal, New Forest
National Park, the Ridgeway
and Great Stones Way, along
with any of the trips are
