ike Appleton is now putting
the final touches to his
latest project 50 Gems of
Derbyshire.
The book, due to be published in
May 2018, takes in all areas of this
unique landscape, both rural and
urban, above and below the surface.
And ‘below’ has been the main
crux of his work to date, with a four
hour trip through Peak Cavern, as
well as interviews with the director
of Treak Cliff Cavern and Alan
Walker at Poole’s Cavern which is
pictured here.
2017 was a busy year for Mike
with rugby league star Danny
Sculthorpe’s autobiography also
being published whilst 2018 will see
him return to focus squarely on the
outdoor world.
