{I n H i story} Originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and set to Tchaikovsky’s score, The Nutcracker ballet made its world premiere at Saint Petersburg’s Mariinsky Theatre on December 18, 1892. In addition to being a music enthusiast, Steve was a champion of global health and, aside from his many professional accomplishments, he will be remembered for his sense of humor, gentle soul, clarinet virtuosity, avid poker playing and storytelling ability.
