National Cathedral Choir of Men and
Boys. As a Cathedral chorister, Nolan
maintains a centuries-long tradition of
daily sung worship, rehearsing with his
19 fellow choristers and singing between
12 and 15 hours per week during the
school year.
Beyond his musical endeavors, Nolan
enjoys playing goalie for his lacrosse
travel team and is a competitive swimmer, recently setting several pool records
at his summer swim club. This year at
school, Nolan is learning Latin for the
first time and is hoping one day to travel
to Rome to see some of the sites of the
ancient world.
Nolan Musslewhite is making his
BSO debut.
Cathedral Choral Society
The Cathedral Choral Society is
the symphonic chorus in residence
at Washington National Cathedral.
The 145-voice chorus is the oldest
symphonic choral group in Washington, D.C.. Since 1985, Dr. J. Reilly
Lewis has served as music director. For
seventy-two seasons, the Cathedral
Choral Society has presented numerous
world premieres and has maintained a
tradition of showcasing young soloists and internationally known artists.
In addition to its concert series at the
Cathedral, the chorus performs across
the region and on nationwide radio
and television.
The Chorus is dedicated to creating choral singing opportunities and
generating a life-long enthusiasm for
choral singing. Its community engagement initiatives include pre-concert
lectures, Cathedral Sings! a community
