Mr. Bronfman was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Prize in 1991 and the Jean Gimbel Lane Prize in piano performance from Northwestern University in 2010. He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2009 for his Deutsche Grammophon recording of Esa-Pekka Salonen’s piano concerto, with whom he won a Grammy Award in 1997 for his recording of the three Bartók Piano Concertos with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
