N 16 April 2016, members of

the US Coast Guard Auxiliary

participated in the Green Ossining’s 6th Annual Earth Day Festival at Louis B. Engel Waterfront Park in Ossining, New York.

The weather was glorious for Ossining’s Earth Day Celebration! Ossining claims that theirs is the largest in Westchester. Pat Push and Margaret “Peg” Millar were there to represent Division 6. Boating Safety is a top priority in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Auxiliarists distributed invaluable information to boaters for the upcoming boating season.

Throughout the Festival there was a moderate flow of pedestrian traffic. Many people had no idea that there was an Auxiliary branch of the Coast Guard. Some folks had questions about boat safety and boating classes. One of those attended 06-08’s ABS class the following day.

About noon a woman introduced her daughter who will be joining the Gold Side when she graduates in June. A former Gold Side member took information about the Auxiliary.

Bravo Zulu Auxiliarists Push and Millar!
