AUXFS BRINGS YEAR-ROUND FINE DINING TO STATION JONES BEACH
Coast Guard Station Jones Beach is responsible for Coast Guard operations covering the South Shore of Long Island, and inland waters. Its primary focus is Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement and Marine Environmental Protection in Sector Long Island Sound. Despite only having two surface facilities, a 45 foot Medium Response Boat and a 29 foot Small Response Boat, the Coast Guard at Station Jones Beach are responsible for high annual rates of SAR operations. And with a big job across Sector Long Island Sound comes big appetites, leaving the station's two active duty Culinary Specialists with their work cut out for them.
