8F- We Create Change
Class 8F took part in a donation campaign to empower the youth and help thousands of children receive an education. The class conducted a weekly collection of change for We Create Change. Students from the class went twice a week to other classes in the school collecting change. They also sold shirts to raise awareness for the campaign. Whatever change was collected was donated to the We Create Change fund. The donation from the school helps build a school in a Africa. The school built will greatly impact the lives of the African children that desperately want to seek an education. All these students need to study is one book, one pen, a teacher and the school we have built.
You might be wondering what is We Create Change? We Create Change is a innovative social campaign that presents people with world changing ideas. Some of these ideas include donation campaigns and world changing organizational events. The want us to see how even the smallest bit of contribution creates a positive change in others’ lives. The optimistic social and environmental impact is what makes the youth of this generation understand the problems faced throughout the world. “The change starts within each of us. And ends only when all the children are free to be children”, says the founder of We Create Change.
Over the months that 8F has taken part in the campaign, more than $500 have been collected. The amount of money collected is equivalent to 29 bricks. If all schools take part the impactful idea, imagine the global cycle of change it could begin. I realized no matter how hard the first step is, don’t let the opportunity go.
