How they helped the community:

6A had a clothing mountain within their classroom and donated the clothes they collected to Bennetto School in Hamilton. With the help of Mrs.Kikkert, they were able to donate about 20 garbage bags of clothing to the school. With their donation, many children were able to have a bigger variety of clothes. We combined with another school and in total about 100 garbage bags were donated and was gone in a hour because the kids needed it a lot.

6A's Community Outreach

How this idea came about:

6A first thought of this idea when they were thinking of a way they could help the community. A bake sale were just some of the many ideas they came up with. After looking at the pros and cons of each idea, they thought that having a clothing mountain was the best choice.

How long did the clothing mountain last?

6A's clothing mountain lasted for about 3-4 weeks. After a slow start, with not many bags, Mr. Neubrand said that he would give each person 150 clan points per bag. That sure made the class enthusiastic about this idea. Soon, a large amount of bags were brought in and many clan points were awarded.
