The Clothing Mountain started off as our class initiative and turned into a school fundraising activity. It helped the Canadian Diabetes Association and gave back to the community for those that can't afford retail clothing. After our first time doing the clothing mountain our school had decided to make it an annual event.
It all started when we came back from winter break and we were told to bring in clothing because it was our class initiative. Later on I had clothing dropped off in the office and the secretary was intriged with the idea that we were doing this; but thought it would be nice for the whole school to get involved; and so, we came back with a proposal for Mrs.Belanger. We broke the news to our class. They could not have been more supportive.
