Backcountry Binding Tips by Lish Riley On our Alpine touring skis at Whitman College, we have been using Fritschi freeride bindings, and their design has stayed more or less the same over the last 10 years. Although a lot of the binding is plastic, they have held up really well, and we have not incurred many damaged bindings. They are relatively easy to adjust for boot length and DIN settings. They are expensive. G3 is a newer company, probably best known for its very popular skins. We have G3 Ruby and Onyx bindings on our G3 skis. This model was updated last year with the G ́%
