G Adventures also operates a nonprofit foundation, Planeterra, which is a social enterprise incubator. “We identify communities in need and provide the tools and resources to become self-sustainable. We then bring our travelers to visit these projects, where they have the opportunity to take a cooking class, eat at a hospitality training restaurant, purchase local handicrafts, or take a student-led bike tour—all benefiting the project and community,” explained Jill Sala, G Adventures’ national account manager for affinity groups.
