Uptatem enis ducit res dit audis E rrors such as incorrect documentation on new models and kits, wrong serial numbers, or missing or damaged parts can cost us over £75,000 in administration costs alone. As well as reducing the margin for error, our Bristol team is helping to boost profit margins with cost savings across the business – all through innovative, simple, and quick-to-implement ideas. What’s non- conformance? A non- conformance means something has gone wrong and needs putting right. This can happen in a service, a product, a process, from a supplier, or in the system itself. Bristol colleagues are leading the way in tackling some of our most common – and costly – process errors. Bristol fashion MONEY MAN: Zoltan Mato, Programme Engineer 6 Zoltan Mato, Programme Engineer, has been with us for eight years, two of them as part of TP400, a collaborative engine for the A400M military transport, an aircraft used for peacekeeping missions. He’s been a driving force for the Bristol team’s bright ideas. Zoltan explains: “In the first half of 2016, our TP400 programme received 51 Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). They’re simple errors, but they can have a big impact on the day-to-day running of TP400. And they’re expensive, too! So, as part of our Improvement Journey, a group of us got together to look at our end-to-end processes and see where we could make improvements. “We created a team drawn up from Programme, Planning and Control, Operations and Quality divisions, so we could all bring our different experiences together.”
