28 Our Voice / September 2014

OURVOICE: What was the most difficult task during the process and why?

Amira Tiratzo: I think it was the charity round mainly because I wanted to think outside the box. Come up with something totally different, something that was really going to grab people’s attention and make them interested in our charity. It was loads of fun but a lot of love and brain power went into the charity round.

OURVOICE: What are the pros and cons of participating in this pageant?

Amira Tiratzo: Pros were getting to meet new people, getting the opportunity to represent my organization. Getting the chance to do something fun and exciting and learning more about myself as a person. The cons there will always be some kind of drama or individual that has something to say. I had my fingers crossed but there was some heckling but it didn’t ruin my experience.

OURVOICE: What advice would you give contestants for 2015?

Amira Tiratzo: Be yourself! I can't stress that enough, when you come into this competition don't come trying to be something you aren't. The judges want to know who you are and it’s the best way to stay true to yourself. Be creative, think outside the box and have fun with this. That’s what this is about, having fun!

OURVOICE: Will you be defending your crown in 2015?

Amira Tiratzo: If I can I will absolutely.

OurVoice expresses our congratulations to the winner of this year’s pageant as well as the runner ups and the same to the pageant organizer for establishing an event which focus on individual talents as well as challenging the contestants to come out of comfort zones.
