2 Our Voice / September 2014

In this issue Our Voice takes the time to celebrate the accomplishments of women on the grid as well as in real life. When we look back on the women in our lives, we realize that they play a vital part in how we exist in the world and how we see ourselves. When I look back on how women like my grandmother held families together, mine, through Sunday dinners, I remember how many have fought endlessly for the right to simple be treated as human beings. I look at our women, who did anything and everything to make ends meet for their family; who took the abuse of others just to survive.

I am proud to be surrounded by talent associated with Our Voice and the commitment made to bring you what we believe are

influential woman of our time. This issue is our acknowledgement

of how woman shine regardless of color or circumstance and

celebrate those that have taken down barriers proving that

we are more than the limitations placed on us. This

month’s publication affirms that we are intelligent,

fostering, and powerful and we are definitely

survivors.

On behalf of the staff, I thank you for supporting

what we believe is a great magazine and hope that

we succeeded in providing you yet another read worthy

publication and again, we’ll meet you at that favorite hangout

spot.

Sincerely,

Cleopatra Kellman, Editor-n-Chief
