Our Voice / May 2014 15

REIGN: Well not quite Editor in Chief just owner. I have a great staff that writes, edits, does all the photography so I can't t take credit for any of that but give it all to my wonderful staff as without them it would not be possible. The reason that I took over BOSL is that I loved BOSL from the very start. I did a lot of studying on the company, I was in the top 12 of Miss Virtual World and soon became a BLVD model so for me it was a very easy transition.

OURVOICE: Strategically, if you had to do anything over again, what would you have done different?

REIGN: Everything that I do is a life lesson and was meant to happen for one reason or another, so I approach each day as such. Many asked me was I in the right frame of mind to take over BOSL and for a moment in time I did question myself but then thought who better to take over it than myself and so my journey continues.

OURVOICE: Correct me if I'm wrong, your evolution in SL started with being a model to designer and now owner of a major modeling agency and BOSL. Is that correct?

REIGN: Actually my career started just the opposite as a designer. I wanted to learn how to design clothes as I was so intrigued as to how it was done. I found some amazing friends who taught me the ins and outs, then I realized there was a fashion world and I wanted to explore the possibilities of designing in that industry and so I studied to become a model only to see what the newest trends where, never in my wildest dreams did I expect to become a model or even enter Miss Virtual World. From there the opportunity came for me to purchase BOSL and all its subsidiaries and as I stated before I didn't look back. It was a long process that took many months and on January 1, 2014 I took over BOSL & Co.

OURVOICE: When you took over BOSL and BLVD they were already a significant “players” in game; meaning they had already made a mark in their respectful industry. What are your plans to keep both fresh and innovative?

REIGN: Well I can't share the plans that are already in the making but look for fresh and very new ideas to come especially from BLVD, the Modeling Agency is being re-vamped and will take the fashion industry by storm with a whole new concept that will be released later this year. As for BOSL we have already changed the magazine itself; gave it a fresh look keeping in mind that BOSL Magazine is not a Fashion Magazine but caters to all that is "The Best Of SL" whatever that may be including but not limited to Fashion. We will be unveiling some newness this fall with BOSL so tuned.

OURVOICE: In addition to the magazine and the modeling agency you are also a successful designer on the grid. What do you feel has made your style different from the others?

REIGN: Different to me just comes from within. I like things that are not the same that you would wear in Real Life. SecondLife allows me my fantasy to be what I want to be and do what I want to do so why limit my style of fashion. I love art and art comes in many facets; there are nights where I dream of something and then the next day I create it and that’s what makes it fun to design outside of anyone's element and own it myself.

OURVOICE: What can we expect from Ms. Congrejo in the future?

REIGN: To keep getting bigger and better and trying new things. My staff always bring me ideas that many may find absurd but I find them intriguing and perfect just what BOSL needs. I want staff that step out of their comfort zone and give something totally different and with a new spin that many would not expect to me this is what makes BOSL and will keep BOSL on top.
