It commemorates author Helen Hunt Jackson's January 23 1882 visit that inspired her to make this California Rancho one of the settings for her novel "Ramona". Re- enactors will engage and delight you as they portray this event which forever changed the peaceful life at Rancho Camulos. One of the highlights of this year's event will be the appearance of actress Kayla Contreras, who currently stars as Ramona in the Hemet Ramona Outdoor Pageant.
