There  

are  

 several  

 common  

 tests  

 that  

 can  

 be  

 performed  

 to  

 detect  

 cataracts,  

 including  

 the  

 use  

 of  

 an  

 eye  

 chart  

and  

a  

dilated  

eye  

exam.  

  

The  

only  

cure  

for  

 cataracts  

 is  

 surgery  

 to  

 remove  

 the  

 clouded  

 lens  

 and  

 replace  

 it  

 with  

 an  

 implant.  

  

 In  

 cases  

 where  

 the  

loss  

of  

vision  

is  

minor,  

glasses  

may  

minimize

 mucus  

membrane

the  

inside  

of  

the  

eyelid  

and  

 the  

white  

part  

of  

the
