Fund-A-Bed campaign seeks
to improve quality of life.
The Aroostook Health Center (AHC) is a non-profit nursing
home in Mars Hill. For many elderly people from
throughout the County, AHC becomes home during the last
days, months and years of their lives. The staff seek to do all
they can to ensure residents are safe, well-cared for and
comfortable. New beds are needed to help with this
mission, as the current beds are reaching the end of their
usable lifespan. Beds are also much more high-tech than
they used to be with features that can improve the lives of
residents. Good sleep is so important to a person’s overall
well-being, particularly for older people. Please make a
donation to the Fund-A-Bed campaign and help us make
nights, and therefore days, better for our community’s
elders.
