Caribou Events

The City of Caribou has really started to rock the event world . From hosting an annual successful music series to putting on the inaugural Caribou Marathon , the most northeastern marathon to qualify for the Boston Marathon , they ’ ve stepped it up a notch , and Aroostook County is starting to feel it .
Thursdays on Sweden Street , events held in the City of Caribou , have become an annual affair that draw folks from all over Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick .
The evenings consist of a street festival every other week from June-August . The events host live bands , DJ ’ s , craft vendors , food vendors , street performers and more . Local favorites have played on Sweden Street , such as the Rock Dox , French Toast , Music- X-Press and more ; beloved bands from out of the area have also shown up on Sweden Street , such as the Motor Booty Affair , the Ghost of Paul Revere , the Mallett Brothers and others !
Each event is themed and the crowd really gets into it , said Till , the City ’ s Marketing & Event Coordinator , “ We ’ ve had Reunion Night , Beach Night , Halloween in June and so on .” Thursday on Sweden Street regularly pulls in 2000-5000 people . The additional people in Caribou have helped local business as well ,” said Till , “ businesses are jumping on board and have really helped the event grow . Whether investing as
