When Terry and Cathy Kelly’s six-year old daughter,
Erinn, was initially diagnosed with celiac disease at the age
of three the Mapleton, parents had no idea what the disease
was, how their daughter contracted it or what they needed
to do to treat it.
Fast forward three years later, Erinn is thriving as an
elementary school student at Pine Street School in Presque
Isle, with lots of support from family, friends and her
school’s nutritional services staff, who all focus on keeping
her diet gluten-free.
