Some say life’s a dream
But without a dream there is no life
It’s dreams that kept me alive
And now in my life and with all the strife
And even when my life was at an end
It was my dreams that kept me alive
And even though my life looked dark
A poem by
Kieran Moss
Luckily it gave me time to reflect
So if your life is dark and you feel drained
‘The Conjuring 2’ is not a bad film but
does not deliver where it should. In fact
the bits that are supposed to frighten
and shock can make you laugh and
giggle. The possession of Janet is the
most memorable moment of the film,
as it had me and my friends in fits of
laughter instead of being in terror. Even
people who are easily scared would
say that the horror here is tame and
disappointing.
However, the film is a well-told story
and the audience do feel for Janet
as she is shunned by her friends
while dealing with unwanted media
attention. The story keeps you on the
edge of your seat right to the very end.
‘The Conjuring 2’ will disappoint people
who are looking to be scared witless
for two hours as it relies too heavily on
repetitive jump scares. That being said,
the acting is excellent, especially by the
young children in the cast.
RRR
It’s alright, but not as good as the
first and a let-down for horror fans.
