Cleaning Tips
A flat-screen TV can look great when fitted to a chimney
breast in your living room, but there are some safety aspects
to consider before you get your toolbox out.
The biggest danger is the potential for the poisonous gas
Carbon Monoxide (CO) to begin leaking in if the gas flue
inside the chimney is breached. You cannot see, taste or
smell CO, but it can kill quickly with little warning. Always
use proper tools when fitting a TV to your wall, use a
bracket compatible with your TV and follow the instructions
provided. This will also help to avoid falling accidents.
Also remember that if you leave the property, it is your
responsibility to fill any holes you have made.
It’s also worth investing in a carbon monoxide alarm
for your home. They can be picked up in most larger
supermarkets and start from around £20.
