of the Social Golf Club members still play regularly and
attend the special open days that are part of the Club’s
fund raising activities. Events like the Sportsman’s lunch
supporting the Steve Waugh Foundation has raised in
excess of $100,000 for Children with special medical
needs. The Club also plays a vital role in providing a venue
where charities can be rest assured that their day will be
run with the highest level of professional standards. A
wonderful example of this is the “Love for Lachie” event
that raised a huge $180,000 this year.
We as a Club are committed to providing all golfers and
their families with an environment they will enjoy and we
certainly encourage the golfing fraternity and those who may
be considering taking up the game to come and sample the
friendly Club, we guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
As part of the Club 90th Anniversary celebrations
in October, a video presentation and been made of
photographic images from the early 1900’s through
to the present times. Anyone with an interest in
Mona Vale history, you will be able to view this on
the Clubs website and copies will be made available
at Mona Vale Library from October 14th.
