This isn't to say all such photographs and dictaphone recordings fall into this category of
course. There are always going to be photographs that are indeed interesting (be it
because they are SO unlike anything resembling mists, orbs, etc.) or because the
phenomenon was recorded on more than one piece of equipment simultaneously. The
same goes for some sound recordings. Sometimes you just can't explain what you might
be lucky enough to record.
I have been witness on a number of investigations with my own paranormal research
group and a number of other groups' to people claiming they've heard all sorts of weird
and wonderful sounds. I'm not dismissing the possibility that they may have heard such
noises but what I am saying is simply what is the point at all in any of it unless it is to be
recorded (and indeed ideally - finances allowing - on more than one piece of equipment at
any one time). Personally, to me, I see no point whatsoever in any number of individuals
all claiming to have heard something unless they have some evidence to back their claim
