German brewer Henry Saxer arrived in 1852. Upon tasting the
clear and untainted water from the mountains, he recognized
the potential for the growth of hops and barley, and started
brewing. Soon after, fellow immigrant Henry Weinhard opened

It was not until 1980, when national food and drink were being processed and industrialized, that Oregon brewers recognized the demand for craft beer. Oregon’s first craft brewery

"If you take care of the brew the rest will take care of itself,"
Chris quipped.
Owners Chris Dillon and Alex McGraw first wanted to start
their endeavor in Chris’s garage, but due to state regulation they
were forced to seek an alternate location at 14841 SW Tualatin
Sherwood Road, Suite 501. The service area is appointed with
wooden picnic tables and overhead hanging lighting that creates a casual, cozy atmosphere and meshes well with the blues
musical selections playing in the background. Patrons enjoy free
WiFi and a large flat screen TV. Foreign brew offerings include
Belgian Blonde, Oatmeal Stout, Scotch Ale, Cocoa Porter, Pale
Ale, and IPA.
Two Kilts offers a place for beer lovers to experience beer tasting in its purest form. No pool tables, no lottery machines, no
mixed drinks—just good conversation, atmosphere and really
great beer. It is well worth the drive from Portland. Two Kilts
