SILMO I t was another exciting year at Silmo Paris 2013 with more than 1,300 brands featured at the event. Among the major highlights of the event were Silmo d'or Awards, MO by Silmo, Silmo Academy and merchandising workshops with two new major innovations this year: Fashion Style and La Manufacture. For the 20th consecutive edition, the jury chaired by designer Mathieu Lehanneur, handed out the SILMO d’OR awards, celebrating creativity and innovation across 8 categories, plus a Jury's Special Award. The merchandising workshop provided coaching and one-to-one sessions with merchandising professionals along with daily presentations on the theme: “The keys to success at your point of sale— the customer pathway.” Because fashion is a major development goal for the optics and eyewear sector, SILMO presented for the very first time, FASHION STYLE, a vast forum dedicated to men and women's fashion brands in the ready-to-wear and haute couture segments. Silmo Paris 2014 will be held September 26-29 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
