Vision & Voice
KNOWLEDGE &
NETWORKING
As an independent optician and also the executive director of
the Ontario Opticians Association(OOA), I find Transitions
Academy a great opportunity to gain not only information
on what’s coming up next from Transitions, but an opportunity
to meet with industry leaders and decision makers. This is
invaluable in my goal of promoting the OOA. The educational
workshops were helpful in both my growth as an optician
and as an executive director. Thanks Transitions for another
great conference!

Events such as Transitions Academy are valuable to ECPs for the obvious reason to learn about new products.
Every industry needs to be on top of their products. If you are out of the loop, the optical shop may win that
customer over. Academy was also a great way to network with others to learn how they manage their offices.
Everything from product to sales techniques were discussed. The people I met have become colleagues and
I know I can contact others for brainstorming at any time.
Rachel Hill, Personal Optical
Transitions Academy is an iconic optical industry event like no other. It
brings together optical professionals of all capacities to share ideas, concepts
and challenges in a casual friendly setting. There is a good dose of Transitions
product information, but the overwhelming theme of Academy is truly a celebration of the Industry. Congratulations to Transitions on another great job, I very
much enjoyed being part of it.

"I always think events like
the Transitions Academy are
important. First off, you get to
attend some great seminars to
learn the latest information
on upcoming or new products.
Second, I cannot stress enough
the importance of networking
among your peers, especially
an event like The Transitions
Academy, when you get to meet
people from our industry from
all the Americas. You never
know what you are going to
learn from one another and
what that connections will
lead to in the future."
