ACUVUE OASYS with Transitions contact lenses
are expected to be commercially available from
Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc. in the first
half of 2019.
Transitions Optical partnered with Johnson &
Johnson Vision to make the leading light-adaptive
photochromic technology available in a contact
lens. ACUVUE OASYS with Transitions Light
Intelligent Technology will create a new category
of contact lenses and expand the photochromic
category beyond eyeglass lenses.
The contact lenses will provide wearers with vision
correction and a dynamic photochromic filter that
helps to continuously balance the amount of light
entering the eye. These contact lenses quickly and
seamlessly adjust from clear to dark in response to
changing sunlight conditions; reducing exposure
to bright light indoors and outdoors, including
filtering blue light based on the level of activation
and blocking UV rays.
The latest release of 14 frames by
Glacée includes models for the
quirky and fashionable alike.
A strong emphasis is placed on round
eye shapes in smaller sizing for a fun,
unique look. A variety of textures and
press patterns are applied to these
frames, as seen on the GL6863 and
GL6868. Unique metal and plastic
combinations create an eye-catching
look that turns heads. Double brow
bars are also present for a modern
take on a vintage look.
