Combine our vivid new production of Verdi’s timeless love story, La traviata, Leonard Bernstein’s comedic masterpiece, Candide and a top of the pops morning of arias with Emily Burke and Hayley Sugars. And to make it a season Music Lovers will truly remember, head out to Opera at Jimbour for a picnic-and-music experience like no other! Create your own season ticket with Verdi’s classic La traviata at the Lyric Theatre and Leonard Bernstein’s comic rhapsody Candide. Combine this with pre-show events that take you inside the opera and our very popular Gala, and your 2015 opera diary will be bulging. Still want to squeeze in more? Check out A Morning with Emily and Hayley, a relaxed celebration of opera scenes and arias with two of Queensland’s favourite singers, or waltz to Johann Strauss at Opera at Jimbour. This year, OperaQ’s ambition to create bold new opera experiences pays off big time for the Adventurer. Top of your list will be Studio 4101. South Bank neighbours OperaQ, Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and creative symposium Hub 4101 have banded together to present a summer weekend of experimentation, music and performance.
