At the heart of every Gala is an unforgettable experience in which
the stars of OperaQ perform so closely that you can literally feel the
power of their voices. Little wonder that in just its third year the
annual OperaQ Gala is fast becoming a high point on the
Queensland social calendar.
This year themed to Strauss’s Fledermaus, the Gala will transport you
to 19th century Vienna and the extravagant lifestyle of Prince
Orlovsky. It’s a chance to slip into your sweeping ball gown and enjoy
a royal feast of food, wine, the grand waltz music of Strauss - and of
course the voices of OperaQ.
Guests will have the chance to win exciting prizes and bid in silent
auctions for memorabilia and money-can’t-buy opera experiences.
Proceeds from the Gala support OperaQ’s artistic and community
programs so make this very special evening part of your season 2015.

In keeping with grand opera tradition, season 2015 is
welcomed with the La traviata Opening Night Dinner.
Join the OperaQ inner circle to salute the season at
this exclusive pre-show gathering hosted at Era Bistro.
While you enjoy a first class meal, including wine
and beverages, members of the cast and creative
team will provide an insight into the rehearsals
and staging of one of Verdi’s great romantic
tragedies. Era Bistro is a short walking distance
from the Lyric Theatre. Seats are strictly limited so
book early. This is an event not to be missed.
The La traviata Champagne Party is your ‘go to’ event
for the Opera season. Dress up and join your friends
for a pre-show party of glitz and glamour against the
glittering city skyline. Raise a glass to La traviata and
feel the vibe of Brisbane’s sophisticated night life, held
on the rooftop terrace of QPAC it’s the perfect way to
add a little extra sparkle to your night at the opera. The
event to see and be seen at and our roaming cameras

you on a magical, musical tour so why not start
the evening with an equally magical dinner at this
exclusive pre-show gathering hosted at Era Bistro?
OperaQ’s cast and creative team will take you
inside the production and your gourmet meal, with
wine and beverages, will set the mood for a jovial
night with Candide and a cast of larger than life
characters. Era Bistro is a short walking distance

The adventures of Candide should be celebrated
with an adventurous night out so grab your closest
