In his free time he likes running, hiking, doing yoga and working out at the gym. But if there’s a message he wants others struggling with health anxiety to know, it’s this: you’re not alone. Tell us about your company. I’m the managing director of Wolfgang Commercial Painters, a coating company located in Burnaby, BC. We specialize in delivering exceptional painting projects and service for property managers, strata home owners, and building owners across the lower mainland of British Columbia. We offer exterior and interior painting, sealing, staining, and caulking. We also provide exterior washing services. How did you get into this line of work? I joined Wolfgang over a decade ago as our first marketing manager. I had recently graduated from Simon Fraser University and was passionate about marketing, along with the dynamic nature of a small, but quickly growing business. Right from day one, I loved seeing the direct impact of my work on the development of the business. Over more than a decade, I’ve worn virtually every hat at Wolfgang, still learning and growing every day in my current role as an owner and managing director. How do you manage growth in your business? Growth is never easy, and we’ve certainly had our share of bumps along the way. In my experience, team clarity and alignment on values, purpose, and vision for the future is crucial to set up sustainable growth. From this solid foundation, a laser-focused yet flexible strategic plan, effectively executed, has been the cornerstone for our growth. Some of the most important elements to this strategy plan have involved finding and developing amazing people, as well as creating systems that allow us to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence. We refer to it as Wolfgang Promise on every project.
