When the renovations are complete the 120,000-square-foot dealership will be the flagship location for western Canada. The two-level building will feature the new Toyota corporate image, roof-top parking and an expanded selection of Toyota-certified pre-owned vehicles. The new car showroom will accommodate 20 vehicles while the service department will have Express Service, 34 service bays, a delivery area for 11 vehicles and a full-service café. Porsche Centre Richmond Announced OpenRoad Auto Group is collaborating with The Dilawri Group of Companies to build and operate a state-of-the-art, flagship Porsche Centre in the Richmond Auto Mall. Completion of the multi-million-dollar centre is scheduled for 2019. When it opens, the Centre will be one of Canada’s largest Porsche retail centres. Its architecture will feature Porsche’s signature curved design and its interior will accommodate the range of new electric vehicles Porsche plans to roll out in the next few years. This is the second Porsche centre for each of the two companies. In 2015 OpenRoad opened Porsche Centre Langley in The Langley Auto Collection. The Dilawri Group acquired Porsche Centre Vancouver in 2010 and opened its present location in 2013. “Given our success with Porsche Centre Langley and the many brands we already represent in Richmond, we are confident that there is tremendous growth potential for Porsche in this new market,” says Christian Chia, president and CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group. “We are delighted to collaborate with Dilawri to combine our deep commitment to Porsche and our thorough knowledge of the market to bring this exciting project to fruition.” There will be a two-vehicle car wash in a separate building and seven dry and wet detail bays for cleaning cars. “The interior design components and materials have been selected using very high standards,” says Moe Saboune, project director for OpenRoad Auto Group. “The expanded facility will also include a staff gym, a 40-person boardroom, custom furniture, a fireplace and a kids’ play area. Customers are going to love the fully equipped barista café shop.”
