that I’m traditionally very subtle with my
accessories, but when you put together a
classy watch with some funky cufflinks,
a nice set of socks … it really puts your
whole look on another level.
I recently started experimenting with a
subscription watch service that sends me
a new watch every three months, and then
I return the one I just had. It works well
for me because it saves me a lot of time
looking and also allows me to experiment.
I saw a quote about women’s fashion that
said, “Buns are for burgers and flats are
apartments in London.” It made me think,
“Why are women always the ones to have
the best shoes or hair or accessories?” Us
guys should step our game up, too!
When did you get your first Lexus
and what do you like about Lexus?
My first Lexus was in 2007, an RX 450h.
It was my first experience with an electric
hybrid vehicle. I still remember leaving my
driveway and trying to see how far I could
go without the gas engine turning on. I
liked it so much I got another one a few
years later.
Lexus has something for everyone, from
the hybrid SUV to the LFA. I think they
do a great job of creating multi-purpose
or multi-event vehicles. As parents with
busy schedules, we want a vehicle that is
practical but also stylish … somethi ng
that speaks to our personality. But it needs
to be able to pack the hockey or ringette
gear to the rink and then clean up for a
fundraising gala. The RX and now the NX
are great examples of this. Stylish vehicles
with crisp lines that can take you from the
boardroom to the soccer field.
Which vehicle is next on your list?
I’m on the wait list for the Tesla Model
X SUV, which is due in late 2015 or early
2016. That will be our next vehicle, but
Christian keeps saying I’m ready for a
Porsche. I’m sure my wife would like that!
