OpenRoad Driver recently had a chance to sit
down with Peter Fassbender, formerly Mayor
of Langley City and now BC Minister of
Education. Articulate, friendly and with a
passion for cars, Minister Fassbender shared
his thoughts about driving, life, teachers and
the secrets to a long and happy marriage. Not
long after becoming Minister in June 2013,
he purchased a MINI Cooper and, at the
insistence of his son, Phil, who works at the
MINI Langley centre, agreed to name it the
“MINIster.”
