John Ellery Federation Publicité Exterieur International Nancy Fletcher Outdoor Advertising Association of America John is the Executive Director of Federation Publicité Exterieur International, the global Out-of-Home (OOH) association, representing 80 OOH member companies and an annual congress that attracts 400 attendees from 40 countries. John has played a key role in the development of the OOH industry worldwide. He began his career in 1968 working for the OOH contractor London and Provincial (L+P) before joining the team at British Posters, the UK’s first national OOH sales and marketing operation. John then returned to L+P as a director and joined the Board of street furniture pioneer, Adshel. In 1981, John began a 14-year tenure with Portland Outdoor Advertising before moving on to develop the international division at Poster Publicity which, in 2004, merged with Portland Outdoor to form Kinetic. Nancy has been President and CEO of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) for 25 years. She is an attorney and industry authority with nearly 40 years’ experience in Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising. Before joining OAAA, she served as an officer for Patrick Media Group, the largest OOH media company in the USA at that time. She also spent more than a decade with Naegele Outdoor Advertising in various capacities including president and general manager of the Minneapolis/St. Paul division and general counsel for the parent corporation. Nancy currently serves on the Board of Directors of OAAA, the Ad Council, and Geopath. She is the former Board Chair for the National Cathedral School and current President of the Fletcher Family Foundation. “I have been fortunate enough to play a part in the OOH industry as it has gone from a fragmented and sometimes unregarded medium, to becoming a major global force.
