At ParlAmericas’ 11th Plenary Assembly, delegates met in a working group on open parliament. They heard from a keynote and other expert speakers, debated best practices in roundtables, and issued a statement of commitment on the topic. During this session, delegates also completed a survey designed by Andy Williamson, world-renowned expert on digital democracy and legislative transparency. The objective of the survey was to better understand the extent to which parliamentarians in the Americas use digital tools for communicating with their constituents, and to assess their views of these tools.
