Below - LVG meets the Seneca team
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal joined team Seneca, even donning the company
polo, for the Manchester United Foundation Golf Day. The annual event at Dunham Forest
Golf and Country Club, raised over £20,000 for the Manchester United Foundation.
As well as raising funds for charity the Foundation Golf day offers fans the chance to play
a round of golf with a host of United greats, including Bryan Robson, Denis Irwin and
Ryan Giggs. Van Gaal said: “I enjoyed it very much. I think it’s very important for us to
get involved with events for the Foundation to help those less privileged. It’s nice that fans
want to pay to play with us and it costs us little energy to make a difference.”
No winners on the Seneca Team this year though as Quinton Fortune’s team emerged
victorious and Denis Irwin claimed the individual prize.
